Look at How Beautiful Things Used To Be

BLOGGER ERA DESIGN. I don’t even know if, when I clicked on the email, I clicked on spam, but I was stopped in my tracks, I gasped, I was struck dumb, etc., by what was on the screen before me, what a beautifully designed web page! Was this the golden era of design? Ha ha I’m joking. Anyway I searched and not even Reddit had anything about a "Blogger legacy claim spam” or scam, yet the URL was weird: it ended in a “dot g.” I don’t want to write it out…it was fishy.

O, tell me, will the Substacks become the Blogsnarks, and the TikToks the Yahoos, as we slowly adjust our climate control and grocery shopping habits, as we raise our grandkids? As we log into our MyCharts? We have some secret Yahoo email accounts, we have some secret Twitters. Will we keep them up, will they be entered into our legacy? our “If I die, here are my passwords?” Burn it all in the yard, all the letters, is probably best, if you’re worried about it. Will the Archies bleed into the Love and Rockets, the Mickeys into the Spongebobs? What will become of Bart Simpson, O Death? We click away, our nation turns its lonely eyes to shadow work, to breathwork, to our anger management class workbook.
